In this year’s review of home decor trends we’re seeing a repetition of biophilic design keywords — eco-friendly, nature-themed, sustainability — such that it has become a design tenet rather than trend. So too has the concept of home as sanctuary, with a focus on comfort, self-care, and everyday health. You’ll hear the buzzword “cocooning” repeated in discussions of space planning, textural layering, and how a room is painted. But in 2025 home interiors are also laboratories of bold experiments in color, stylistic mash-ups, sculptural motifs, and high-contrast materials. After recharging in their cozy cocoons people will want to express their personality in whimsical design.
