Meet our BBQ Ambassador

Pastor. Pitmaster. Neighbor.

Jordan Davis is a pastor and pitmaster from Carmel. For him, barbecue has always been more than a hobby. It’s a craft, a calling and a way to bring people together. “Barbecue is more than just a meal. It is a love language,” he says.

Jordan and his wife Kati, also a pastor, started the Smoking Pastor Project with a free food truck and a heart for service. Today it’s a growing nonprofit that helps families facing food insecurity get real, high-quality meals.

As our Brand Ambassador, Jordan shares his tips and favorite gear with White’s Ace customers, and you’ll find him at our stores for Meet & Eat events.

About the Smoking Pastor Project

The Smoking Pastor Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Carmel. Its mission is to bring dignity, nourishment and hope to our communities by providing high-quality, fully cooked, prepackaged protein to food pantries and outreach partners, “crafting smiles one bite at a time.”

Real protein for food pantries

Ready-to-heat smoked pulled pork, shredded chicken and brisket. It’s the item pantries are asked for most and receive least.

Free meals, no strings attached

Pop-up events, Free Food Fridays, disaster relief sites and meals for first responders and community heroes.

Every sale feeds someone

Jordan’s sauces, rubs and merch help fund the mission. 100% of merch store proceeds go to the Project.

Current needs listed by the Project: a warehouse with a commercial kitchen, a transit delivery van and a blast chiller.

Why we partner with Jordan

He shares our values

White’s Ace has been locally family owned since 1977, when Steve and Sharon White opened our first store. We’ve always believed a hardware store should do more than sell hardware. It should help hold a community together. Jordan lives that out every week. He feeds families, serves first responders and shows up when disaster hits. So when the 2026 World Barbecue Champion talks smoke, fire and brisket, we listen, and we want our customers to hear it too.
